THS Library - Databases

Tower Hill subscribes to many databases through the University of Delaware and some through direct subscription. For use at home, use the links below and the Database Password Guide available at the Library Circulation Desk. If you come to a page with the wording, “Please enter your library ID, barcode, or other ID,” just enter the username. There will not be a second box to enter the password.

• For Upper School students:
• Upper School databases (through the University of Delaware)
        Tip: Great starting points are the Student Resource Center Gold and Expanded Academic.
• Current History - Search past issues of this periodical
        Tip: When viewing artices, chose the link called "For Institutional Use"
• EBSCO - Full text and abstracts of magazines, encyclopedia articles and historical documents
• Global Issues in Context - Global perspectives on issues of international importance and current world events and topics in the news from a variety of sources.
• Science Online - A broad range of scientific disciplines presented through extensive definitions, essays, diagrams, biographies, and experiments.
  
• For Middle School students:
• Science Online - A broad range of scientific disciplines presented through extensive definitions, essays, diagrams, biographies, and experiments.
• Middle School databases (through the University of Delaware)
        Tips: A great first choice is the Student Resources in Context. For music, go to SIRS Knowledge Source and use SIRS Renassiance.
• EBSCO - Full text and abstracts of magazines, encyclopedia articles and historical documents
• CultureGrams - Provides information about daily life and culture, including history, customs, and lifestyles of more than 200 countries.
